The spirit of Christmas is alive in Cameron!
The Cameron community came together to turn a dream into reality.
In early 2022, an anonymous donor offered to match up to $50,000 in donations for lights on the Downtown square - to purchase, install and remove lights at the end of the season. Not only was the matching fund challenge met, it was exceeded through generous gifts from individuals and businesses, the City of Cameron and Milam County.
In addition to the central lights and decor on the mall, the majority of Downtown business owners committed to participating by funding roofline lights for their buildings.
All of these people worked together to make Downtown Cameron a gathering place for the Holidays - a place where citizens & visitors will make memories to last a lifetime.
The Cameron Economic Development Corporation, Cameron Industrial Foundation and Cameron Area Chamber of Commerce wish to express their deepest gratitude to all donors.
